In one of the year's most exciting Neuros developments, longtime Neuros volunteer Nerochiaro has left his day job and joined Neuros official as a full time paid developer (official as of the 16th of March)!
Nero has been with us since the original digital audio computer, and along with DeepB has been a key linchpin in the community for a long time
He recently sent me an article about mingling volunteers and paid community members which I think speaks to a lot of the issues that we've already seen. In this case, I believe Nero's joining will bring us closer to the true community development method and I'm hopeful that his involvement as an insider will contribute to making Neuros even more open and community oriented. He's going to be bridging the Xiamen Team and Open Source community as well as a voice for the open source crowd internally. As evidence of this, part of the agreement in his coming on is that we'll update our Social Contract to be more specific about IP issues (and more accurate about our licensing since we're no longer using BSD for example)
Please join me in welcoming Neuros' (and my) longtime friend in becoming a paid member of the team. May we be able to keep him as passionate about Neuros as a paid employee as he has been as a volunteer!
Welcome aboard Nerochiaro!
